![]() I understand that you'd like to see a traditional calendar view in AT2. Generally, it's only split at the user interface level. It's quite standard to not split the date and time information into separate fields for both internal representation or interchange. Date is just a coarser measurement of time and whether you find it difficult to visualize or not, barring some Quantum Leap discovery, it is quite linear and easily represented with a single inte ger if you can agree on the zero point. Even if you just type the 'date' command on your Mac terminal you'll get something like "Sun 10:00:00 EDT". iCal is another pretty common date/event interchange format where the date/time is in the form "20171001T100000". Databases generally use the same method where date and time are calculated as an offset from a zero point such as the Unix epoch. Even internally, AT2 stores date/time as a single value like "63642448800" which roughly speaking is the number of seconds since year 0 in the Gregorian calendar. ![]() When I do a CSV export from AT 2.2.6 the time/date is exported as a single field in a standard string format that looks like "01 October 2017 10:00:00AM". You say your calendar program uses a single field for date/time and that you're having to concat time/date information from Aeon Timeline CSV exports.Īre you perhaps using an old version of AT? It would be fantastic to be able to tick a box in Aeon that says, essentially, Export Date and Time as one field, and Import and Split date and time. My calendar program treats Start Date and Time as one field, and I am force to concatenate the two fields or split them depending on which direction I'm going. If it's not in the future, or in a future too far to see, I would like to request a slightly more configurable import/export. Is it in the development pipeline? At what point do you think we might see it? I see from your blog that traditional calendar view is the second most requested feature. csv import/export routine in order to view the calendar the way I prefer. It's a very helpful program- thank you! At the moment I'm doing this extremely. I recently worked on a project with an extremely complex timeline, and ended up buying and learning Aeon to help myself manage it. In fact, I have visited this forum several times just to post a request for calendar view and check the development status of the program. With a little patience you will have a brand new writing studio in no time, boost productivity and be happier.Se1961 Fri, 13:01:35 GMT Greetings! I have resisted using Aeon for years because it didn't have a tradition calendar view, and I find it hard to imagine timelines in a strictly linear fashion.
